Polyester gel coat
- Size: 1 kg.
- White color.
- Polyester-based gelcoat has the appearance of a white paint, although it is different from a classic paint.
- Its main characteristics are: easy sanding, low shrinkage during polymerization and low tendency to form microporosities. The low shrinkage during polymerization protects against the consequences of any excessive thickness (cracks, unexpected mold release, etc.) and prevents the formation of wrinkles in the case of thin applications.
- The easy application of this Gelcoat, combined with its excellent weather resistance, also makes it suitable for all those applications where the Gelcoat will form the surface finish of the part.
- Before using gelcoat, the part to be treated must be well sanded, removing all impurities, old paint or damaged pre-existing gelcoat. We recommend cleaning the surface well with compressed air afterwards.
- The surfaces to be treated must be suitably degreased and not used on hot surfaces or exposed to the sun.
- It has many fields of application and can be used as an exterior finish for: truck spoilers, refrigerator cells, campers/caravans, canoe interiors, skates, pedal boats, boats, bilge pumps, lockers or any interior part of the boat, exterior finish or retouching of fiberglass shower trays, both for motorhomes and homes. Exterior coating of fiberglass tanks, finishing of fiberglass products, two-component acrylic primers for car bodywork, metal putties for car bodywork, wood, etc.
