> HOW TO PRUNE: the position of the cut is very important if the goal is to stimulate the growth of new branches or to shape and symmetry the foliage. Always cut at a 45º angle, to prevent rainwater from stagnating. In the presence of a bud, the cut should be made 6mm above it, following the direction of the bud's development. The cut must be clean and precise, without fraying the bark.
> HOW TO USE THE SHEARS: traditional pruning shears require considerable effort to make the cut. These pruning shears require only a small part of that effort. Open the handles completely so that the ratchet mechanism is correctly positioned. In the instructions, this means that the right hand of the worker squeezes the handle that controls the movement of the black blade. Place the blades on the branch, so that it rests on the black blade, and apply pressure on the handles until the blade has penetrated the branch by approximately 8mm. while holding the left handle, move the right handle so that the ratchet engages the next tooth. Repeat these steps alternately until the branch is completely cut.
> MAINTENANCE: clean and lubricate the blades after each use. If necessary, tighten the blade fastening nut. After prolonged use, it may be necessary to sharpen the blade.
